Varsity Bar & Grill opens this week in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and I couldn’t be more honored to be part of their story. Anthony and Angela Steinhauer have begun the adventure of a lifetime starting this restaurant. Angela and I met as brand-new freshman at Judson University. I have been so honored to share life’s adventures ever since that first encounter in Ohio Hall. And now, even though we live hundreds of miles apart, I was excited to help them in this adventure! I was so honored to help her and her husband bring their concepts and ideas to life in their new logo.
The Steinhauers wanted a friendly logo that would embrace the local Sun Prairie community and hint at the love for Badger football. After reviving the space, the new owners changed the name of the establishment to “Varsity Bar and Grill” to cater to the love of sports: national, state, and local. The local school sports are a huge part of this new restaurant and the new owners hope to make this the “go-to” spot for families and athletes in Sun Prairie. However, their blood truly does run red with Wisconsin pride. This love for the Badgers helped drive the color scheme for the logo and invite sports lovers of all ages to join the “Varsity” family. These entrepreneurs are excited to create a family friendly space with great local events and creating an environment great for the “junior varsity” kiddos as well!

Our process started with an interview to get an idea of what general direction they wanted to go with their restaurant’s logo.
After narrowing down what initial logos they liked, Varsity Bar & Grill owners worked with Valerie to narrow down specific colors and details for their logo.
Varsity Bar & Grill owners were strategic in planning ahead so that they were all ready to launch their new restaurant. This sign went up last week, in plenty of time for their opening in December 2013!
