Done is better than perfect!
Aimee was transparent with us that perfectionism and control can be boxes she puts herself in. You have to fight against your tendencies and the labels you put on yourself. Be flexible with yourself and give yourself grace that your weaknesses don’t have to limit you. Be aware of your weaknesses, but don’t let them define you.
When you know your weaknesses and you are honest with yourself, you can be authentic with yourself and your audience. And, isn’t that what people are going to social media for anyway? They want authenticity!
Chill Out!
Aimee’s best advice to her former self is to chill out! If you have tendencies to micromanage and stress about control over situations, it’s just not worth it or even good. It’s a process, but Aimee would tell herself that it’s not worth the stress.
