Blogging Services In Denver Colorado By Tintero CreativeBlogging is an essential piece of any content marketing strategy and can be a great way to express your expertise. Even just a few years ago, businesses didn’t really know what blogging was or why it could be valuable to them. Some professionals have embraced blogging and are excelling with it. Others…not so much. There IS an art to blogging, especially if you are blogging with marketing as an underlying strategy. As we explore these essential parts of a great blog post, consider how you and your business are doing with your blogs and what you could do to improve them!

The 9 Essential Parts Of A Great Blog:

While it is near impossible to have the “perfect” blog post, there are definitely key pieces that you should include:

  1. Heading: These first words are not only the title of your blog article, but they will be what catches your audience’s attention. Make them count!
  2. Interesting Hook: Remember back when you learned how to write an essay in fifth grade? One of the first things you’re taught is how to create an attention-grabbing hook to draw your audience into the article and topic.
  3. SEO Keywords: While the article should not sound like a thesaurus threw up on it, strategically peppering key words for SEO ranking and SEO value is essential in today’s blogging strategy. Quality copywriters can help you write and/or edit your articles to maximize this strategy.
  4. Media: All blog posts must appeal to the visual nature of humans, whether it be an infographic, a picture, or a video. A text-only article will not get the same interest level compared to the same with a corresponding media piece attached to it. Always have at least one picture!
  5. Concise Writing: Today’s culture has a very short attention span. Numbered and bulleted lists are great for people to skim and decide if they want to read all of the details. Wordy writing typically does not do well in blogs.
  6. Edited Content: Get an editor to proof read your articles. Nothing is worse than a blatant spelling or grammar error!
  7. Quality Content: As content marketing is becoming more popular, people want quality and real information. A fluff article that is written simply to sell can be spotted a mile away. As I once heard, “stop crapping on your blogs”. Always put forth quality information and articles.
  8. Credit and Links: If you sourced a quote or other information, make sure to give the appropriate credit. Also, look for opportunities to mention other websites or partnering businesses and include a link to their page. It’s easy and makes you look really good!
  9. Sharing Links: If you want people to easily share your articles straight from your website, consider putting social media sharing icons on your blog posts.
